I should begin this story where it began…
In 2012, while visiting Sweden, I took a picture – and stole the title for it from a piece of music by Lymland. »Långsam glömd«, the song and picture, is the beginning of a new idea. Some years later, I began wondering: If there was music playing to my pictures, how would it sound like? There are so many possible manifestations of moving pictures (aka movies, music videos) with music, often, especially done for them. But what about my »static« pictures?
Some months ago, I asked Lymland if they consider looking at some of my photographs, be inspired and try to come up with new music for them – turning around the »Långsam glömd« thing, sort of. After some conversations we decided to perform together live, too. We came up with a concept: I created a slide show with a sequence of pictures to which Lymland composed music. We wanted people to hear my pictures, and see Lymland’s music.
